Jax Taylor criticizes Katie Maloney for playing an ‘accessory’ role to Ariana Madix
Jax Taylor He was never a fan of his former Vanderpump Rules co-star Katie Maloney. When she made a sarcastic comment about his new sports bar, Jax’s Studio City, he didn’t hesitate to applaud.
During an April 30 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Katie suggested that Jax’s new establishment is merely an addon to the already established Rocco’s Tavern establishment. Its co-owner The Something About Her called it the “bonus room.”
Needless to say, Jax was not amused.
There is no love lost between friends
When The Daily Dish asked Jax to respond to Katie’s WWHL shade, Jax commented, “Katie is an accessory. It was Stassi [Schroeder]Appendix. Now she Ariana [Madix]’s Appendix.”
Jax and Katie haven’t lost much love between them. They had a history of quarreling when they were both working on the pump rules.
On Season 11, Episode 7 of VPR, Katie commented on rumors that Jax was “walking around” with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. Since that episode aired, Jax and Bret have broken up. At the time, Jax noted, “Katie likes to have sex once she starts having sex. That’s what she does.
During her appearance on WWHL alongside Ariana, a fan asked Katie if she would visit Jax’s Studio City.
“He listens. “Jax and I don’t get along,” she replied, putting it mildly. “I don’t even know if I’m allowed in there. Why don’t we go to the attached Rocco’s restaurant? …Jax’s is a spare room. It’s not a shadow. It is the truth.”
“It’s attached,” Jax replied. “All bars are related to something… Isn’t Bump related to Tom Tom? It’s the same thing.”
“A miserable human being”
In response to her scathing comments, Jax mentioned Katy and Ariana’s work “Something About Her.” The WeHo sandwich shop has been “opening soon” for over a year, but now the actual opening date has been set for May 22.
“They’ve been subletting this place for the last year,” Jax said. “So they would have to charge at least $50 a sandwich just to make any profit in my eyes.”
In fact, Ariana and Katie made the profitable decision over a year ago to launch a merch store amidst numerous store delays. This wonderful idea resulted in sales exceeding $200,000.
But Jax, being Jax, couldn’t resist taking things a step further by personalizing it. “Katie is just a miserable human being,” he said. “It’s miserable.”
