Janelle Brown Threatens Legal Action: Kody & Robyn Owe Money

Like any couple going through a divorce, sisters wives star Janelle Brown She only wants what she deserves. In the midst of her messy separation from her spiritual husband, Cody BrownJanelle talks about her complicated financial situation.

On the September 22 episode of the show, Janelle revealed that his four then-wives contributed to the first installment of Robin Brown A million-dollar home in Flagstaff. Now that three of his four wives have left him, Janelle wants her money back, at the very least.

Even though she contributed cash to the purchase, Kody wouldn’t let Janelle put her name on the mortgage. “When I put the money into the house, I said, ‘Well, I think it would be fair to have all of our names on the mortgage,’” Janelle told her daughter, Madison Brosh. “And he said, ‘No, no, we need to protect Robyn’s property. She needs to own it so it’s hers, so it’s ours.’”

Janelle Brown just wants what’s fair from Kody and Robyn.

For her part, Robyn says it would be hard to “calculate” how much the other wives owe her. “We’ve been working together for a long time, and we never stopped working together until recently,” she said in a confessional. “When Janelle mentions that Kody and I owe her something, it’s like, ‘How do you calculate? How do you figure that out?’ It’s so confusing.”

There’s nothing to worry about, Robin. Just look up how much Janelle paid for your house and write her a check. It’s that easy.

Janelle thinks they should sell the Coyote Pass property they bought together and split the profits. It’s clear they’ll never build a house there, and no one will ever live there. They should just get rid of everything and get things sorted out.

But Kody doesn’t want to talk about it, so Janelle thinks she’ll likely end up taking legal action against her ex. “I’m going to have to get a lawyer. I think that’s the only way I’m going to be able to get any kind of resolution from him,” she said.

Although Kody points out that he has “other debts” he needs to pay off first, Janelle questions that excuse.

“I’ve watched him,” Janelle continued. “He keeps buying up assets that he puts on trailers… I see all the art on the walls; I see all this stuff, and that’s good. I have money, and we spend it on stuff, too.”

Meanwhile, Kody and Robyn put their home up for sale on August 29. They’re asking $1.65 million. That’s certainly enough to pay off Janelle’s debt. But according to Realtor.com, the property has yet to sell.

The current season of Sister Wives appears to be filming in late 2022, so a lot could have changed since then. We can only wait and see how things unfold.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10/9c on TLC.
