The sixth season has introduced a diverse cast of cast members, each struggling with their own set of obstacles. Shekinah Garner and Sarper Goffin are one of the returning couples, along with Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson. Both of these couples have learned more about each other this season, leading them to question whether they’re right for each other.
On the other hand, season six also features four new couples. James Solis moved to Indonesia for his wife, Metalia Tantri Solis, which proved to be a tough sell. Worse, James and Metalia are at an impasse over having children. Another American who moved abroad for love this season is Josh, who traveled to China for his wife, Lily. The couple has good chemistry but often fights when it comes to money.
In Iceland, Corona Blackie and Angie Hilmar struggle to come to an agreement. Corona wants more from Angie, who seems more determined to take things slow. Finally, Joanne De Jesus travels to Ireland with her two sons and best friend to introduce them to her husband, Sean. The only surprising thing is that she didn’t tell them she was married until after they met him. Based on everything that’s happened so far, here are our predictions for the rest of Season 6!
Shekinah and Sarper will work out their issues on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Despite some ups and downs this season, Shekinah and Sarper will likely end up just fine. The couple’s most heated arguments began over egos, leading Shekinah to leave Sarper’s apartment. After meeting with Shekinah to apologize, Sarper agreed to go to therapy to help them with their relationship.
Sarper also surprised Shekinah by taking her to a dumpster to smash the infamous liquor bottles. Shekinah explained that the bottles represented Sarper’s past, so destroying them meant a lot to her. Furthermore, Sarper also burned his black book, which contained a tally of each of the 2,500 women he had slept with. Sarper takes serious steps to prove himself to Shekinah, which will likely pay off.
Statler and Dempsey May Split on ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’
Since Statler’s arrival in England, she and Dempsey have been unable to get along. Statler expressed concerns about Dempsey hiding money after she went into debt to buy their new truck. Dempsey did not understand where Statler was coming from, creating tension between the two.
Problems between the couple escalated when Statler had a panic attack during a ferry ride. Dempsey took it personally and was upset that Statler was ruining the mood. This led Dempsey to suggest that she and Statler didn’t understand each other at all. Statler, on the other hand, felt hurt that Dempsey would try to end things while having a panic attack at all times. Things aren’t looking good for Statler and Dempsey right now and it wouldn’t be surprising if they split up by the end of season six.
James and Metalia will continue to fight, but they will stay together.
James and Metalia have had a lot of fights this season. First, Metalia was frustrated with James for lying about bringing their dog Jojo to Indonesia. After James arrived in Indonesia, Metalia felt stressed about having to constantly translate things for him. On the other hand, James was stressed about financial matters.
But the biggest problem the couple faced was the issue of children. While Metalia was determined to become a mother, James revealed that he wasn’t sure he wanted children. The news devastated Metalia, who was visibly upset with James. But despite their many differences, it seems that nothing will ever come between James and Metalia. The couple is madly in love with each other and that probably won’t change.
Josh will continue to adjust well to life in China on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Of all the American cast members this season, Josh had the easiest time transitioning to life abroad. Josh had never been to China before moving there, but he had no trouble feeling at home. Between Lily’s delicious food and his love of Chinese culture, Josh didn’t exactly miss America.
Although Josh and Lily have had a few fights during season six, they’ve always worked them out quickly. The couple’s relationship is never in any real danger, and Josh’s easy adjustment to China has certainly helped. Josh is having the time of his life with Lily in China and will likely continue to do so.
Corona may leave Iceland
Corona and Inge have faced many obstacles this season, and their futures do not look bright at this stage of the season. One of Corona’s biggest concerns about moving to Iceland was giving up her place on the prestigious midwifery program. Corona had planned to continue pursuing her dream in Iceland, but she has now faced a major obstacle. The courses are only taught in Icelandic, which Corona does not speak.
Between this and her doubts about Angie, it’s possible that Corona will leave Iceland by the end of the season. Corona is ready to propose to Angie but it’s clear that he’s not engaged yet. Maybe Corona is trying to reclaim her spot on the American show before it’s too late.
Joan and Shawn will make their marriage work on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Joan and Sean were the last couple to be introduced this season, but their story is one of the most interesting. Having met through Joan’s work as a psychic, the couple quickly fell in love. In fact, after a few trips to Ireland, Joan decided to marry Sean on a whim. Neither Joan nor Sean told their loved ones about the marriage.
During season 6, Joan brought her two sons and her best friend to meet Sean. They were shocked when Joan announced their marriage. Things got a little awkward, but Joan’s friend eventually congratulated them. Despite these obstacles, Joan and Sean’s relationship is incredibly strong. It seems like this couple can get through anything, even hiding their marriage from everyone for two years.
