I may be one of the biggest Real Housewives of New Jersey fans, but

I may be one of the biggest The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans, but the franchise’s new season didn’t start off with the spark I had hoped. With Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice no longer interacting, the group will have a clear split. We’ve seen this before where a Bravoleb refuses to talk or film with someone else, and that usually doesn’t bode well. The season is under additional pressure because the rest of the cast can’t handle the extra weight.

There may be a change in the near future

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been widely successful with the same cast over the past few seasons. Yes, two newbies were added in Season 13 with Rachel Voda and Danielle Cabral, but no major renewals occurred. But I’m worried there’s going to be a big change in the cast after season 14. The storylines are getting stale thanks to the Gorga/Giudice feud. Now, it looks like Danielle is starting her own family feud story. As for the rest of the cast, there doesn’t seem to be anything interesting or worth filming.

Dare I say the ladies of the Garden State have lost their spark? Even though only two episodes have aired, I’m bored. As a viewer, I’m tired of hearing about women losing weight or seeing their kids getting ready to start a new school year. I’m starting to think our only hope is a Rachel and John Voda vs. Trey story. But we’ll have to see how that pans out. If Bravo brings in a whole new class of housewives like they did with The Real Housewives of New York, it will be the end of an era, but they’ll only have themselves to blame.

Splitting RHONJ into teams will likely be its downfall

Teresa is still very happy living in her love bubble, but this means that she ignores the important issues around her. The mother of four is making her friends choose teams again. This latest episode showed Teresa questioning Danielle about wanting to try to rebuild her friendship with Rachel. Conversely, Margaret Josephs will have a hard time accepting that her old friends, Jennifer Fessler and Jackie Goldschneider, want to have a relationship with Trey.

Gone are the days when the entire cast got along or at least tried. Now, alliances and deals are made. Viewers learn about a pre-season 13 reunion where some of the cast, including Melissa, Margaret, and Rachel, were planning to take down Teresa and Luis Ruelas.

RHONJ is the new Hunger Games

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Merriam-Webster, also known as Jackie, agrees that the franchise has become a bit like the Hollywood blockbuster The Hunger Games. Jackie, who used to be one of the main cast members of the show, is now publicly criticizing the franchise for its apparent divisiveness. While speaking on Two T’s in a Pod, Jackie noted, “Everyone is convinced that if they get the most people on their team and then they take the picture and call it the team, Bravo will see it, and they’ll think, ‘Oh, they’ve got more people, let’s keep On this team. “This is not the way things work, and it keeps everyone very divided.”

Rich idea coming from Jackie who has been arguing against Teresa for years. Jackie seems to be one of the main culprits in this split, to be honest. Speaking on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, Margaret shared her thoughts. “Unfortunately, Jackie really let me down. She was very disappointing. If it’s not happening to her on Instagram, it’s not happening in real life — and Instagram is not real life,” the MacBeth Collection founder told fans.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey used to be Bravo’s top franchise. With its familiar connections and genius emotions, the series has been a hit with viewers for a very long time. But the past few seasons have gotten stale, and even Bravo has noticed. So, unless women can change their feelings, I think the franchise is headed toward a reboot, which could be good or bad. But the only time I will tell. May the odds be in our favor forever.
