Ahead of the Marvel movie’s July 22 premiere, Ryan took the opportunity to share how grateful he is to have such a close-knit crew.

“I want to start by thanking my wife, Blake, who was here,” he said during his onstage speech. “I want to thank my children, James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, who were here: I hope, if I’m lucky, that this moment is the most shocking thing — the contents of this film — that has ever happened in your wonderful lives.”
