Heather Jay is twice ashamed after Monica Garcia’s revelation about Reality Von Tease
In an interview with People, the Bad Mormon author explained how last year’s drama continued. When new housewife Bronwyn Newport inserted herself into conflict between the current cast members, it put Heather on the defensive.
Heather admitted they “started off on the wrong foot” and explained her thinking about Bronwyn. “This is the kind of energy that has burned me out in the past,” she noted in her confessional. “And I’m very wary of anyone who has strong, harsh opinions about people they’re meeting for the first time.”
Heather went on to explain, “I don’t think I’m a guarded person at all. I think I came in with a bulldog mentality about protecting my friendships and protecting the sanctity of the bond we have. That’s why Bronwyn and I went down the wrong path.”
The former Mormon and mother of three girls feels equally protective of her “dear friends” on the show. Especially after Monica betrayed them all.
“There was no way any of us could pretend to be her friend after she cheated on us so intimately for so long,” Heather said of Monica. “She sat at our table, cried with us, and laughed with us. We bought her gifts, met her children. We brought her into our homes and into our lives and welcomed her. I had no drama until Bermuda and there was no way forward.”
“Now I’m just bread crumbs,” she concluded. “I’m just cutting my love.”
