Heather Dubrow says RHOC felt ‘more balanced’ with season 18

The Real Housewives of Orange County a star Heather Dubrow Shannon Beador is back on our screens for season 18! And things are “more balanced” for her this time around. Heather’s friendships are stronger and she’s no longer isolated from the group. At least that’s what it seems like based on the first episode and a sneak peek at the rest of the season. Unfortunately, the person targeted this time around may be “There’s the Door, Shannon Beador.” However, Heather hints that this season will be one to remember.

Last season, it seemed like Heather was alone on an island with no allies. No matter what she did, she was criticized and analyzed. Emily Simpson and Tamra Judge constantly told her how arrogant she was when she talked to others. Don’t they understand what Heather feels like? Her nickname is Fancy Pants for a reason.

Heather and Tamra’s friendship also hit an all-time low. Tamra returned to the show and worked her way to the top of the friend group by insulting Heather. She accused Heather of gossiping about Shannon and John Jansen’s relationship. And let’s not forget the most ridiculous accusation: Heather accused paparazzi of harassing her at Disneyland. In short, Heather couldn’t take the opportunity.

But things are moving in the right direction now. Heather sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss her feelings about the season and the state of her friendships. “Last season was a disaster for me. It was really hard,” she said. That’s an understatement.

Heather noted that she needed to take some time to reflect on who her friends were on the set. “Personally, I have to say, after last year’s reunion, I had to take some time and reflect on where I stand with everyone, where my relationships are, and how I’m going to move forward after what was a tumultuous year for me,” she said. “It’s time to forgive and forget.”

Now that Heather is back in her “rhythm,” she’s excited for the new season. “This season is so great. It’s really like one of those seasons that people call the glory days of the show,” she said. And it looks like this season is great with all the travel and drama. The cast is giving back!

Best of all, Heather is happier with the show and her friends this year. “But I’m happy that I felt more balanced this year, and I think I was able to figure out who my real friends are,” she said. We’re excited to see it all unfold.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
