Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow live on a completely separate planet from you

Heather Dubrow And Terry Dubrow We live on a completely separate planet from you and me. While the majority of our world’s population struggles to stay afloat, these two are in the corner, debating the merits of having (or not having) onion rings on their tables. However, that’s what makes her so fun to watch on Real Housewives of Orange County. But it’s also fun to digest their marriage, since there are so few strong relationships on Bravo.

For years, we’ve watched them get along comically, both on and off RHOC. Now, these two have just passed their 25th year together, which is no small feat in this day and age. In honor of their special wedding anniversary, we’re now looking back at some of their sweetest moments together as husband and wife.

Terry is never here for the Heather haters

Haters love to hate. Heather knows this because, in many seasons, she has received negative comments, not only from some of the cast, but also from some viewers. Like a supportive king, Terry would arrive often, helping to stop the noise.

During Season 17, Heather admitted that she felt like a “whipping boy.” She felt ganged up on by her colleagues. Next, Terry spoke on behalf of his lady, as always. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Terry noted that watching his wife deal with this drama was “incredibly painful.”

He then added, “It was so painful” that he couldn’t “watch most of the scenes.” Terry also stressed that this “behind the scenes drama has an emotional impact.” In turn, Heather spent a lot of time while the cameras were crying. Therefore, “she needed a lot of support” from him, which he happily provided, while noting that in his mind she still “did not lose” this season.

They’re both here, though, to proudly parent

In the Dubrow family, Terry and Heather are more than just a supportive duo. They are also great parents. Seriously, their performances as a family are some of my favorite scenes ever. Especially when they come together to gently support their children.

You see, the Dubrow family has four children. Three of their adult children are proud members of the LGBTQ+ community. Terry and Heather embraced their children as they are, and have since joined forces, using their platforms to inspire open dialogues about sexuality. “Our message is that everything is OK,” Heather shared with People magazine, while Terry nodded in agreement.

Almost every season, we see at least one meal with this family. Around their table, this family actually communicates. Their phones are not in sight, as they laugh, cry and talk about everything openly. Terry and Heather’s genuine love for the tribe they built is evident, and also, they adopted me, DuBrows.

Additionally, their openness to an often-shelved topic has added a much-needed element to the Real Housewives franchise. These two have never once stopped their children’s dreams or feelings, and as such, I find their marriage to be the best.

And at every stage their love prevails

Tonight on #RHOC – our “Goodbye Dubrow Chateau” moment ❤️ We never thought we’d be here, dancing like we were teenagers, celebrating the sale of the house we were so lucky to call home. This is a memory I will never forget ❤️❤️❤️ Who watched the episode where we broke ground on our house in Hoedown from 2014 and who will watch tonight’s episode!!??

In 2022, Terry and Heather sold their huge home. They decided to downsize, as their children slowly began to fly away from their gilded nest. Once their house was sold, they filmed a beautiful emotional scene, honoring their past and celebrating their next life stage. They’ve worked hard at every aspect of their shared life, from their careers, to raising their children, so this was a wonderful and very well-deserved moment on RHOC.

Sometimes though, reality gets a little too real

Recently, while out to dinner, Terry began experiencing symptoms of a stroke. Heather registered this and insisted on going straight to the emergency room to get him checked out. Then, on Watch What Happens Live, Terry called while Heather was a guest. As his voice cracked emotionally, Terry explained to Andy Cohen that his “best friend” Heather saved his life.

Explaining the night to Andy, Terry asserted that “that woman in that chair” refused to listen to his insistence that he was fine. Andy then noted that these two are “really cute”, and that their “love for each other is so inspiring.” Heather then appeared, joking that Terry’s narcissism came back to the hospital, and that’s when she knew he was going to make it. Then the caller, known as Terry, jokingly responded and asked his wife to hurry home from New York City.

From experience, when a couple can joke about their dark experiences in real life, their love is legitimate.

This ancient Russian marinade recipe cures everything

After Terry’s health scare, he and Heather enjoyed a night out on Valentine’s Day. Here, Heather realized that the restaurant they had chosen did not serve the type of clothing that Terry liked. So, she made it for him herself, right there in their room. After asking for sides of ketchup, mayonnaise, and “some pickled stuff,” Heather mixed all of these ingredients together, creating Russian dressing for her man.

Before she could even finish, Terry’s hand came out from the side, ready to dip the fried food into the mix. Heather then joked, “Not only did I save your life, I’m making you fresh Russian dressing.” Terry loved it. It is also clear that he still loves his wife.

And here they still are, 25 years later

If you want your marriage to work, you have to make time. Terry and Heather have done just that, building their brand, their family, and their union as one. As Heather just posted, these two have survived and thrived for “25 years” aka “8,766 days”, and yet, they still have “a lifetime” left to “go…” So beautiful, these two.

Happy anniversary, Dobros! May the champagne and love continue to flow freely between you.
