Gymnast Aly Raisman Defends Jade Carey After Fall at Paris Games

“You did a great job today and I’m so proud of you,” Ali wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on July 28. “It saddens me that our society is so harsh on athletes that you feel the need to explain yourself.”

Allie, who previously won six Olympic medals as part of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team, added that Jade’s performance in Paris showed that she is only human and that “making mistakes is normal.”

The 30-year-old continued: “I can’t wait to watch you in the coming days, I hope you feel better, you inspire so many and remember that there are people at home who dream of being just like you one day.”
