Gina Kirschenheiter Talks Living With Travis Mullen
A lot has happened for Gina Kirschenheiter And Travis Mullen On the eighteenth season of Real Housewives of Orange County. During the first episode, Gina presented her plan to get Travis and his kids out of the house so he could deal with his divorce.
After three episodes, he decided to move on, though the couple remained largely together. It was clearly a difficult decision. Gina was asked in a recent interview if she regretted it.
Gina and Travis are still “on opposite sides of this decision.”
“Looking back, I would make the same decision,” Jenna told Bravo producers. “And that’s the hard thing. Because as of today, Travis and I are doing great, and we’re working through a lot of things. But we’re still on opposite sides of this decision.”
“The more we communicate and talk, the more I think he really sees [and] “I started to get and understand my side of it,” she added.
Bravoliberti insisted that living apart from her boyfriend of five years was temporary and “this is what we have to do now.”
“I don’t want to live like this forever,” Gina explained. “In practice, it’s a complete nightmare. It’s really back and forth all the time. But it feels like the right thing to do so we can actually take the next step.”
Although living apart was “very difficult,” Jenna also felt the toxicity between Travis and his ex was affecting her and their children Sienna, Luca and Nicholas.
Gina is waiting for Travis’s “puzzle pieces” to “fall into place.”
“We have a mixed family situation, which is very complicated and stressful at times. In the end, I feel like I always have to do what’s in the best interest of me and these three people.” [who] “I feel like it means a lot to me,” the RHOC star said. “I’m responsible for taking care of them and protecting them through this life. There were things that started happening as a result of everything he was a victim of that was out of his control. And I understand that, but I still feel like I need to protect my kids from him.”
There is no timetable for moving back in together. Gina is just waiting for the “pieces of the puzzle” to come in. [to fall] “In the right place.” But she’s happy to wait for the person who means so much to her.
“It was like, ‘Look, you’re an amazing person and I know I want to be with you…’” she recalled when she brought up the idea of living apart. “No one makes me feel safe and cared for and loved and appreciated and valued like this man. He’s a very good father, he’s a very good stepfather, but he has some things he needs to get over before he can really commit to this relationship in the way that we need to make it complete. But I’m willing to do that and wait.”
