the sisters wives The premiere of the nineteenth season has finally reached viewers’ small screens, with… Cody Brown Shows little remorse. The season was filmed in 2022, so most fans saw the family dynamic in real time. But the newest season felt like it opened like the last few seasons. Cody was already crying about being the victim and not being misunderstood. For years, Cody loved playing the martyr. However, it didn’t sit well with the rest of the family. But after a glimpse of humble pie, could this be the season where Cody turns it all upside down?

Kody Brown Plays The Blame Game

The Season 19 premiere opened with Kody feeling sorry for himself. The patriarch is still largely dealing with the fallout from Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown leaving him. But now fans are watching him turn on his only remaining ally, which seems like a pretty dumb move if you ask me. While everyone else seemed to be moving in around him, Kody took to the confessional to admit, “Robyn and I are in a really tough spot.” Even Sobin Robyn Brown agreed, saying, “We’re probably doing the worst thing we’ve ever done in our marriage. It’s been hard. It’s been hard between us.” Since his split from Christine in 2021, Kody has been relying heavily on Robyn, putting most of the emotional burden on the mother of five.

But Robyn is cracking under the pressure. “He doesn’t know who to blame, is it himself or one of the other wives,” she told the TLC cameras. “Kody feels a lot of rejection. So, I think he looks at me and says, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’ I’m on alert. I have to constantly make sure he doesn’t sabotage our relationship,” Robyn added. “There’s no source of help with the idea that I’m still married to a man who’s going through a divorce.”

Kody Brown Expresses Some Regret About Polygamy In His Family

Shortly before the season 19 premiere of Sister Wives , Cody spoke to People magazine about the current state of his family. For a man who once claimed that “love should be multiplied, not divided,” Cody seemed pretty down. During the interview with the magazine, Cody noted that he has a different outlook on life since the loss of his son Garrison Brown. The father of 18 admitted, “The only regret is just taking advantage of the time. I want to go out to dinner again and I want to sit down.” Cody noted, “I want to have a beer. I want Garrison to try to make me laugh because he was. The only regret is just, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to do this a lot.’”

Although Cody’s relationship with his son wasn’t the best before his death, he’s trying to make up for lost time with other children. “Your life is full of those moments,” Cody said. “I went on a quick trip with my brothers recently — and I almost didn’t do it. I had something really urgent, and I had a brother who passed away, and I remember feeling like I needed to go see him sooner. So I went on that trip with my brothers. I went and did it.”

Could Kody Brown be turning over a new leaf?

While Cody still has a lot of mending to do with his kids, the Sister Wives star may be trying. The sudden loss of a family member can turn anyone’s world upside down. “There were other things that were pressing, and I was like, ‘What if this is the last time?’” Cody said. He could have extended an olive branch of peace to those kids who wouldn’t talk to him. Presumably, Cody is learning not to sweat the small stuff or be “so petty” when it comes to arguments. However, I bet that mindset would have been more helpful a few years ago.

Kody touched on another regret, saying, “There’s even regret about the divorce — Meri, Janelle, Kristen — those divorces and the anger during those divorces. I definitely regret that.” Kody expressed regret, revealing, “There’s always going to be a moment where you’re like, ‘I wish I would have taken a chance,’ and there’s regret. But look, it’s all over now, and everybody’s healing. And now we can move on, and we can just take those steps that create less regret.”

Hopefully the Sister Wives clan can truly start over, but fans aren’t getting their hopes up.
