Every time a new woman is chosen to participate on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki makes it her mission to make her life extremely difficult by harassing her. But it turns out the mother of two isn’t just giving in to her own privilege. Teddy MellencampThe two have been in a heated feud for quite some time, leaving fans wondering how it all started.
How did the feud between Vicki Gunvalson and Teddi Mellencamp start?
It’s no surprise that it all started when Vicki’s friend and former colleague, Tamra Judge, threw her under the bus while speaking on her podcast, Two T’s In A Pod, which she hosts with Teddi. Tamra revealed to Teddi that while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club, Vicki called her “boring.” Ever since Tamra revealed this information, there has been tension between the two girls. Ironically, they don’t like each other because they both had the same sad ending to their Bravo careers. Vicki was demoted to “friend” before season 14 and chose not to return because she felt so insulted. Teddi was also forced to leave the show after fans called her boring. It’s a shame these two couldn’t get along.

While hosting Entertainment Tonight with Tamra, Vicki didn’t hesitate to admit that she can’t stand Teddi. “I don’t know Teddi Mellencamp, but I don’t like Teddi Mellencamp,” the insurance queen noted. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Tamra also revealed that Vicki tried to call the head of the podcast to get Teddi fired. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star didn’t take the insults well and fired back on Twitter.
Teddi posted a promo for a new Bravo show, saying: “Make sure to tune in to season 2 of #RHUGT tomorrow on @peacocktv! Starring my friend and co-host @two.ts.inapod @tamrajudge I can only hope @vickigunvalson got paid on gas cards because her love tank looks like it’s been empty lately. I hope this post doesn’t cause her to call my boss at @iheartradio to try and take my job back.”
Vicki responded by writing, “What happened? I never tried to ‘take your job’. I’m fine my dear. I have a career at @coto.insurance and work with @debtcom. Oh and my love tank is full and never empty. That was rude! Please don’t use me for content on your podcast please.”
Vicky and Teddy’s fight turns into a social battle
The feud quickly escalated to the point where she said on social media. Teddi hit rock bottom when she posted a reference to Vicki’s ex, Brooks Ayers, and his cancer hoax. “Any other Bravo fans watching I Love That for You on Showtime with Vanessa Bayer? It’s about a girl who cheats her way into a job by lying about having cancer. It’s so relatable,” Teddi wrote.
Vicki was furious when she responded with a series of tweets that read, “Wow… scumbag! You know nothing about what happened with my ex. That’s why you only lasted 3 years… I’m… 14!” But Teddi fired back, essentially shutting down the conversation, and asked, “Well, if we’re talking numbers, can you tell us all where you were on January 6th?” Teddi tried to insinuate that Vicki was at the Capitol riots on January 6th, after Trump lost the election, but there was no evidence of that.
Vicki spoke to Page Six, where she said she was in her apartment in Mexico at the time. The mother of two also noted, “The fact that Teddi would stoop so low and ask me where I was on January 6th shows how clueless she is and why I said, ‘I don’t like her’ even before that comment.” She continued, “I’ve seen her talk about other women that way and honestly, I don’t want to deal with people like that.”
Vicki Gunvalson and Teddi Mellencamp’s feud renewed
In 2023, Vicki reignited the feud during an episode of Watch What Happens Live. While playing Truth or Your Amigas Take a Shot with Shannon Beador and Tamra, Vicki was asked how much she annoyed Teddi, but she didn’t hesitate. The RHOC star stated, “I don’t like her, so give me a break,” and gave Teddi a 10 out of 10.
Unfortunately, it seems these two are not meant to get along.
