Dolores Catania Expresses Regret About RHONJ Season 14 Finale

In the last episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania I suggested the idea of a group retreat. I suggested that this would be a perfect opportunity to patch up some ongoing differences. The RHONJ ladies were at Rachel Voda’s house and seemed to be feeling great. The response to the idea was generally positive.

Now moving on to the season finale, we know that the breakup wasn’t exactly what it was intended to be. Several cast members have spoken out about the impact of the final, irreversible conflict. As such, the RHONJ reunion will be in hybrid form.

So, with Dolores’ role as “Switzerland” coming into play during the upcoming retreat, what does the collective peacekeeper have to say about the ending?

Dolores describes the ending as a “very Jersey moment.”

Dolores exclusively told E! News on July 20 that she hopes her coworkers can reconnect with each other about their similarities. Some of them found a happy ending, but not in the way she had hoped.

“It’s a very Jersey moment and there’s a lot of closure that you’re going to see in this finale,” she said. “It’s a little bit sad for me. I don’t know if our group of friends can ever go back to the way it was, but it’s up to everyone to make up their own minds.”

Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga are still separated. Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin were at odds at the time. Jennifer Fessler and Rachel reconciled in the final episode, but will that feud continue through the end of the season?

“I feel sorry that everyone wasn’t able to come together the way I wanted to,” Dolores said of the drama she produced. “We are a beautiful group of women with the same hearts and the same love for our families and our children and we have that in common. My biggest regret is that I would have loved to see family come together and friendships come together but it seems like we weren’t able to do that.”

Regarding the meeting, Dolores remains optimistic that progress can be made within the group.

“There is always hope,” she shared.
