Deborah Williams responds to Kiarna Stewart

Deborah Williams I just issued a $7 million refund. Kiarna StewartThen The Real Housewives of Potomac The co-star of Season 8 of “Friend Of” has filed a lawsuit against her after filming wrapped. To recap, as soon as the cameras turned off during the launch of Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby’s fashion line in Season 8, drinks and punches started flying. As a result, Kiarna sued Deborah for a whopping $10 million. Now, Deborah has a slightly less expensive payoff. So, she’s going after Kiarna for $7 million.

Deborah’s counterclaim

TV Deets did the Lord’s work, finding court documents that contained Deborah’s counterclaims to Kiarna’s lawsuit. First, Deborah’s files explain that during the night of Giselle and Ashley’s release, Candace Dillard began taunting her. “During this event, Ms. Bassett’s verbal attacks toward Ms. Williams were exceptionally vicious. The name-calling and invective were unusually excessive—apparently intentionally provocative,” Deborah’s doctors wrote.

In Deborah’s account, after exchanging some words with Candace, Candace picked up a bottle of champagne “as if to throw it” at her. Meanwhile, Kiarna began to aggressively defend Candace, resulting in Deborah punching her “in the face.”

According to her counterclaim, Deborah had never met Kiarna prior to the event. Therefore, she is confused as to why Kiarna would get herself involved in this mess. Deborah’s lawyers also claim that the altercation was staged. This is because Bravo’s cameras were down, yet someone at the party recorded the altercation and leaked it to TMZ.

As for who did this, she’s not sure yet. But Deborah is sure of one thing. She knows exactly what Kiarna will have to pay now.

Overall, Deborah is seeking $3 million “plus punitive damages, plus interest and costs for assault and battery” in response to the first count, assault and battery. On the second count, which lists intentional infliction of emotional distress, Deborah is seeking another $3 million “plus fees.” But she’s also looking to add another $1 million “and costs” for defamation. That brings the counterclaim to $7 million.

Obviously, season 9 of RHOP will likely talk about this topic more.
