Daisy Kelleher reveals a text message sent to her by Colin McRae
Sadly, the nautical couple we all shipped in season 4 of Below the sailing yacht No more. Daisy Kelleher and Colin McRae They went their separate ways at the end of the rental season.
“We don’t really talk,” Daisy said ahead of the BDSY Season 5 premiere. “If he needed anything, obviously he could call me. But we don’t really stay in touch.”
But she got a sweet surprise last month when Colin texted her after the Season 5 trailer was released.

“I received a message from [Colin] “The other day about a comment I made,” Daisy shared with E! news. “I basically referred to him as ‘heavyweight,’ and that was a joke. He sent me a message like: ‘Deadweight?’ Laughter emoji. Hopefully he saw the funny side.”
While Colin won’t be returning as the chief engineer of Parsifal III, we will have to suffer through another season of First Mate Gary King. Gary is the reason Colin and Daisy break up. Colin was shocked to learn that Gary and Daisy were sleeping together between seasons three and four, and felt that they were not being honest with him.
“The reunion created a lot of tension, so that’s why we went into such a stressful situation,” Daisy said of our return for Season 5. “I was so angry after the reunion and the way I was treated.”
Although Daisy “wasn’t looking forward to seeing him, working with him, being around him [him]”, Chief Stew was eventually able to resolve her issues with Gary to the benefit of everyone on board.
“I’m not someone who holds grudges, I don’t like to hold onto anger,” the Dublin native admitted. “Obviously we have to find a way to work with each other.” So they did.
“I’m totally fine with Gary,” Daisy admitted. “We’re not best friends; we live very separate lives. But I don’t have any problems with him.”
Although Daisy may be okay with Gary, I’m not. I hope he gets edited out in a big way this season, and we don’t have to see his alleged sexual harassment of female crew members.
Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht premieres October 7 at 9/8c on Bravo.
