Chet Hanks Reveals Why He Went Into Reality TV
For years, Chet Hanks We have boldly pursued a reality TV star of the highest order. Controversial, disgusting, and strangely lovable – he has all the traits of a good reality TV star and has been receiving reality TV offers for years. Somehow, it wasn’t until Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets He was offered a spot on the show, which he eventually accepted. What makes this show so special? According to Chet, The Surreal Life is not like most reality shows.
Chet was born for reality TV.
For anyone who doubted that Chet would make a good reality TV star, let’s not forget that he started flirting with Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak five minutes into his reality TV debut. That’s what he was made for, and he recently explained to TMZ why he felt The Surreal Life was the perfect entry point for him.
According to Chet, he has received a ton of offers to be on reality TV shows, but he has always turned them down. He said the shows he usually gets on are “chaotic,” so he didn’t want to be on them. He’s Tom Hanks’ son. He can’t be on a regular reality TV show.
“Over the years, I’ve been offered a lot of reality shows,” Chet explained. “And I always turned them down because they were really messy and negative.”
“I never wanted to do something like this,” he continued.
When the offer came for The Surreal Life, Chet did his research and watched the final season. Once he saw the theme of the show, he felt it was a “good kind of vibe” because it focused on “personal growth and new experiences.” Chet said he felt the show would allow him to show people who he really was. Overall, he said the idea of The Surreal Life made him “comfortable.”
“I was very excited by the producers,” Chet recalls. “I discussed it with my family, and everyone agreed that this would be a very good opportunity for me, and it was true.”
Chet said his A-list parents will be watching the show. They were fully supportive of their son before the show started. Whether or not they support his show with Kim is a different story. Either way, he said his parents will “definitely” be watching the show.
