Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard both ate mushrooms
Summer House Season 8 reunion was an opportunity to Carl Radke And Lindsey Hubbard To say the last word to each other, and perhaps most shockingly, mushrooms were brought into the conversation. The pair clearly came up with arguments to challenge the other’s version of events.
Notably, host Andy Cohen questioned Lindsay about accusations she made about her then-fiancé being high. She was held responsible for calling him “cocaine Karl.”
In an extended version of the reunion, the former PR expert brought up an event that gave credence to her questions about Carl’s sobriety.
Carl and Lindsey reconsider the definition of sobriety after the mushroom surprise
In Peacock’s uncensored version of the reunion, Lindsay questions “what’s considered sober and what’s not.”
“Does weed count as sobriety?” She revealed that a week before filming, Carl had been eating mushrooms at a music festival.
“We had a small dose together,” Carl admitted. “We looked at each other and said, ‘We will never do this again.’”
The brave veteran agreed with this interpretation of events, but noted that she “doesn’t pretend to be sober.”
Andy suggested that she and Carl didn’t have the same “definition” of sobriety. Summer House co-star Ciara Miller said bringing it up now was a “crazy” move considering Loverboy’s former VP of sales has been sober since 2020.
“Why are you so focused on his definition of sobriety?” asked Amanda Batula. “Why don’t you just support the track…”
Lindsay insisted she has “always” been supportive about the matter.
“You’re not. You’re so angry because he smokes weed,” Amanda replied. “You told me you don’t like it when he does that.”
“Any alcohol I drank was always used against me,” she said. “I was out to dinner with my girlfriend and I was asked how many glasses of wine there were.”
Amanda was still arguing with her co-star at this point. She tells Lindsay it’s because she gets “angry” after drinking. Carl chimed in to say it was a “fair question.”
Not quite the decision it could have been. Both parties are still doubling down on their versions of things.
