Canada on Drag Race: Canada vs. the World Season 2
Let’s get ready to go! The RuPaul’s Drag Race cast just released a trailer for the movie. Drag Racing Canada: Canada vs. the WorldEven though they’ve gone full-on wrestling in the trailer, don’t be confused. Drag racing is still not a contact sport.
In the trailer, we get a sneak peek at all the fashion, twists, and weird happenings that are set to unfold. Plus, some special guest judges will be making appearances, along with the return of Golden Beaver! Watch the trailer below for your first look at the new season.
The beaver is back
Next season, nine drag queens from across the Drag Race universe will compete. They will have to impress judges Brooke Lynn Hytes, Brad Goreski, and Tracy Melchor. The last queen standing will be crowned the Queen of the Mother-Pucking World!
In the trailer, they roll out the red carpet for a group of stunning guest judges. Most notably, one of them is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon Lisa Rinna.
Current world champion Raja O’Hara will also appear on the judges’ panel dressed as a woman. If you watch Drag Race, you know that it’s rare to see a former contestant sitting behind the judges’ panel dressed as a woman. That honor is usually reserved for the host.
The trailer also gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming season’s gameplay. “On our turf, you play by our rules,” Brooke Lynn said, which seemed to hint at the return of the Golden Beaver. Originally introduced in CDR Season 4, the Beaver allows the winner of a challenge to save the Queen of the Bottom from having to lip-sync. Clearly, this is a recipe for drama.
Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World will premiere on July 19 on WOW Presents Plus in the US, BBC Three in the UK, and Crave in Canada.
