Bryson Bryant, Nene Leakes’ Son, Sentenced in Fentanyl Case

Nini LexThe eldest child Bryson Bryant He had just been sentenced for the fentanyl case, and fortunately, he didn’t serve any additional prison time. Often on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we watched NeNe try to redirect her son. His life was spiraling downward faster than Kenya Moore’s, and that was clearly concerning. However, his July 3, 2023 arrest in Georgia proved that sometimes, there’s only so much a mother can do.

During Bryson’s arrest, police claimed they encountered him on someone else’s property in Lawrenceville around 1 a.m. Bryson then told police he knew people who lived there, “which was false.” During questioning, Bryson gave them his brother’s name, Brent Leakes, adding an additional charge to his case. Additionally, Bryson also received a probation violation from a separate case, once he entered custody.

However, Bryson’s sentence now leaves him standing outside the prison yard.

We hope this is Bryson’s last arrest.

While police were investigating Bryson, they reported finding fentanyl in his possession. Bryson initially pleaded not guilty. However, he was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. However, we learned from court documents obtained by In Touch that Bryson had just reached a plea agreement on the matter.

In the deal, prosecutors dismissed the drug possession charge. In exchange, Bryson had to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of “giving false information to a law enforcement officer.” The court sentenced Bryson to 12 months in prison, suspended, and a $500 fine.

Bryson will also have to complete 40 hours of community service during the first six months of his probation. In addition, he will have to undergo random drug tests, determined at the whim of his probation officer. That’s a pretty easy sentence. If you ask me, Bryson’s plea deal was a great move.

Substance abuse treatment and a drug-free future are Bryson’s main keys to staying out of prison. We hope Bryson takes this talented horse and gallops away happily, entering a new era of life free of charges.

Tell us – were you surprised that Bryson took or accepted a plea deal? What did you think of the deal?
