Brother actor Tom Sandoval no conflict

Rachel Levis Lawsuit against Tom Sandoval Things are getting more complicated by the day. For those who missed the last major update, Tom has hired someone very close to Rachel’s lawyer to represent him. Yes, the lawyers representing both Vanderpump Rules stars are brothers. Real family brothers.

So, does this affect the case in any way? Does it change anything? Apparently not. It’s bizarre that the American legal system allows this kind of thing to happen. But hear this from Rachel’s attorney, Mark Geragos.

Did Tom Sandoval knowingly hire Mark’s brother?

On the September 10 episode of Rachel’s podcast, her attorney joined her to explain things. “We had a situation where Mr. Sandoval hired my brother,” Geragos said. At Rachel’s prompting, he explained, “Matt is my little brother and Sandoval hired him. I can’t blame him because Matt is a great attorney.”

As for why Tom hired Matt, Mark had his doubts. “I guess he thought Matt was going to whisper in my ear on Thanksgiving or something. Who knows what he was thinking?” Even if Tom had hired Matt without any knowledge of the family relationship, that would surely be a conflict of interest, right? Well, Mark didn’t seem to think so.

Geragos assured listeners that he couldn’t say for sure why Tom hired Matt. “I don’t have any inside information on what happened or how it happened. I will tell you that [the people asking] “If that constitutes a conflict of interest, if Matt worked with me, that would be a conflict of interest,” he said. “If we were partners in a law firm, that would be a conflict of interest.”

“It’s not like we’re having Christmas dinner and saying, ‘Well, I’ll do this for Rachel, and you’ll do this for Tom.’ That’s not a conflict of interest. It’s an interesting choice,” Mark explained. “A really interesting choice.”

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
