Brittany Cartwright Speaks Out About Filing for Divorce
Brittany Speaks! Last week, Brittany Cartwright Brittany has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Jax Taylor. The Valley stars married in 2019 but announced their split in February of this year. After some controversy and promotion for their show, it was Brittany who decided to actually file.
Rumor has it that Jax was handed the papers on camera while filming the second season of the show. Although she couldn’t share many details, Brittany spoke to fans for the first time since news of her papers broke.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Will Air Their Own Podcast ‘Separately’ Amid Divorce
On an episode of When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, the mom of one talked about the “elephant in the room.”
“It’s been a big week. I’m sure everyone listening has seen the news online by now that I’ve filed for divorce from Jax,” Brittany said. “Unfortunately I can’t talk about the details because everything is so heavily documented on the show because we’re filming right now.”
“You’ll see how it goes once the show airs, but I will say this: This season has been the hardest I’ve ever filmed,” she said. “I never imagined I’d be going through something so personal and painful with the world watching.”
Britt also took the time to acknowledge the timing of all this. “A lot of people online said they thought this was a publicity stunt for the show or a ratings boost,” she said. “It’s far from that. I didn’t make the decision to run lightly or quickly.”
“It took me many years to get to this point where I gained enough courage and strength to do what was best for me – get myself out of a toxic relationship and finally see my worth.”
While the couple will continue filming together, Brittany has made it clear that they will no longer be podcasting as a duo. “In the future, Jax and I will be podcasting separately,” Brittany said. “I love you guys, just stick with me. Thank you.”
