Brie Garcia Breaks Her Silence On Sister Nikki’s Split From Artem Chigvintsev

While the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars is moving at a fast pace, the former pro Artem Chigvintsev Artem is in the news. And not just for his achievements on the dance floor. He was arrested on charges of domestic violence on August 29, 2024. Nicky GarciaHis wife was allegedly present at the time, along with their 4-year-old son, Matteo. The victim’s name has not been released. However, Nikki has asked for privacy amid all the drama. Now Nikki’s sister, Bree Garciaweighs the annoying situation.

Nikki filed for divorce from Artem on September 11, 2024. She requested that neither she nor Artem receive spousal support, and requested physical and legal custody of Mateo. But when Artem filed his response, he had different ideas. He asked for joint custody of their son, and spousal support from Nikki. “Nikki is absolutely furious that Artem is asking for spousal support,” a source claimed. “She is appalled by Artem’s audacity and lack of shame.” Same, Nikki. Same.
However, there is one person Nikki can always count on – her twin sister, Brie. After Artem was arrested, Brie “encouraged Nikki to leave the marriage.” Naturally, Nikki’s family was worried about Nikki and Mateo’s safety.
During a recent episode of their podcast The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie gave a little update on Nikki. “Nikki’s not here because, as you all know, she’s going through something personal in her life. And she’s just asking for privacy for herself and her family, so we’re going to provide that,” Brie said. “But she’s seeing all the support and love. And we’re always grateful for all of your love and support, so thank you all for that.”
In good news, Brie announced that Nikki will be back on the podcast next week. But will she keep quiet about her divorce from Artem? Only time will tell. I’m glad Nikki is back next week.
