Although we haven’t seen Rebecca on RHONY, she hasn’t made the best impression on fans yet. She admitted to trying to fake a fight with Jenna Lyons, which is a strict no-no for any reality show. Additionally, accusations against her father’s “medical” practice have some fans thinking it could be too controversial for the once-beloved show.

Ahead of the RHONY Season 15 premiere, Brynn spoke to E! News about the controversial new cast member. Without hesitation, she came to Rebecca’s defense. She said fans need to ignore the Scientology connections and give her a chance.

“Everyone has their own belief system and is entitled to that,” Breen said. “It was something new for our group, and I think people will be very interested in that and in Rebecca sharing that part of her life.”

According to Breen, Rebecca’s Scientology beliefs were discussed on camera. With that in mind, she praised Rebecca for being brave enough to showcase herself and her religion.

“It’s something special, it’s her philosophy, it’s her beliefs,” Breen explained. “Look, we all have things, whatever they are — good, bad, faith, trauma, relationships — that’s what this show is about.”

“What people share and the depth they share is what they feel comfortable with at that moment in time,” Breen continued. “It’s really hard to put yourself out there and share everything. So, she’s doing it at her own pace and her own comfort level.”
