Big Brother 26 will have an AI theme, with ‘BB AI’ revealed
The AI craze continues! You can’t go more than two minutes without hearing someone complaining about AI, and now, it’s taking over the world. Big brother CBS just announced Big Brother 26, which will be “AI-themed.” Get ready to meet BB AI.
First Look at Big Brother 26
Frankly, Julie Chen should be freaking out because the new season synopsis sounds like robots are trying to take over her job. According to CBS, “smart robots are taking over the house,” making for “the most volatile season of Houseguests.”
If you’re not convinced by the AI, remember that it couldn’t get any worse than last year’s multiverse theme. Plus, Entertainment Weekly got a sneak peek at the house and it looks like the AI theme helped lead to some unique design choices for the home.
In one photo of the home, you can see the “poor people’s” room transformed into a stunning design. CBS executives noted that “the AI in BB has broken down,” leaving behind a “wireframe.” In another photo, the multi-colored bedrooms look like something out of a sci-fi movie.
CBS hasn’t revealed much about how the AI will impact gameplay. It’s sure to add some twists for the houseguests. Everyone knows AI can’t be trusted.
Big Brother isn’t the only reality show to feature artificial intelligence. The latest season of The Circle also had a touch of AI, with one of the “contestants” secretly being run by a computer. This plot is a device to trick these contestants, but will it fool the smart newcomers to Big Brother? We’ll see.
Big Brother 26 will premiere on CBS on Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18 at 9/8c on CBS.
