Beach Olympics
Last week, Gigi Fernandez, Sandy’s friend and guest, complained to the captain about Juneau’s bad food. This week’s episode begins with Sandy calling Chef Juno to the bridge. She asks him about overly spiced food and eggs served cold.
He made the excuse that breakfast was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., but the guests slept late. Sandy reminds him that eggs are always made “to order,” so he should never make them in advance. She sees his excuses as a “huge red flag.”
“At the same time, he performed well in the last charter, [and] “We are now in the middle of the voyage,” the captain adds. “I have to give the chef the chance to prove to me that he can do this. I finish this strong, and then I will evaluate the next charter.”
Guests have requested a picnic on the beach. The plan is to have lunch, then play some Beach Olympics. Ian thinks he doesn’t have to plan anything, as Sandy tells him that Gigi will tell him what she wants.
Aisha suggests that he come up with two ideas, so she can be ready, but he insists that Gigi tell him. “Yes, Sandy said Gigi would know what she wanted,” the head stew says in his confessional. “But that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to set it up for yourself and plan everything. I think he just heard Sandy say that and thought, ‘Nice! Pass!'”
Even Gael suggests they research what the Greek Olympics would have looked like, but Ian is adamant: “[Gig] He’ll tell us.” You’d think he’d need to know what gear to bring to the beach.
“Well, I didn’t want to be unprepared,” Gael says resignedly.
A critical position on the surface of the Mediterranean Sea
Ian drops Joe and Gayle off at the beach, leaving them to carry all the tables and chairs to the picnic site and set everything up, while he drives back to the boat. That’s not what Sandy asked him to do. She said to make sure everything was ready before returning to the guests.
“No leadership at all,” Joe interviewed. “Ian would have helped.”
Guests are anxious about getting to the beach and keep asking when they can go. Ian tells them five minutes, so they happily board the little boat. When Ian informs the captain over the radio that all the guests are on their way to shore, Joe and Gayle panic. They are not ready at all.
“Not ‘Guests will be leaving soon’ or ‘Is the beach ready?’” Gayle gave interviews. “It’s ‘Guests are on their way.’ Huh?!” Not great, Ian.
When Aisha arrived, Gael explained that things were “actually not ready at all.”
“Why didn’t you guys set up any games or anything?” Aisha asks. Joe says they didn’t have time. Ian also refused to plan anything.
In private, Joe told Gael, “Ian made a mistake here, didn’t he?”
“Sure,” she answers.
Meanwhile, guests enjoy a picnic lunch. They say things like “Incredible,” “Amazing,” and “Mmm!” Aisha is happy to hear that.
Joe is in a “critical situation.” He respects Ian as his boss, but is upset by the way the whole beach setup was mishandled. Guests should never arrive before everything is set up. It’s just unprofessional. He wants to say something, but he doesn’t want to be “trampled on.” [boss’s] toes.”
Gael is upset too. “He wouldn’t even acknowledge that the three of us had pulled it out of our asses and made it work anyway,” she says.
Another disappointing meal
Although he received cheers at lunch, dinner was another story for Juno. It serves seafood gazpacho, which gets a lukewarm review from Gigi. When you ask him what that is [unpleasant] Spices are her taste, he tells her he’s never made gazpacho before and had to Google “someone’s grandmother’s recipe.” Sandy interviews, “This is a luxury yacht. Food doesn’t just have to be okay. It should be excellent. Juno is [zero] For two now.” And you also don’t admit that you had to Google a recipe while cooking on a luxury yacht. It’s corny.
As Aisha watches Juno plate an overcooked lava cake with a scoop of melted ice cream, she silently laments, “What is this?!” Guests are only mildly excited when dessert is served in front of them. I couldn’t tell whether they were moaning from pleasure or disgust.
“It’s Just Charter 2, ‘The Chief Soup Interviews,'”[But] I’ve felt myself questioning a lot of the chef’s dishes… I think maybe I need to start saying something to him.
Meanwhile, the guests (and Captain Sandy) don’t like their sweets either. When Sandy asks everyone how their meal was, the best they can do is say it was “interesting.” That’s what you say when it’s terrible, but you don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings.
“The entire meal was substandard,” Sandy says in his confessional. “I’ll complete this charter, and when the guests disembark, I’ll have a very real conversation with Jonathan…but I’m definitely looking for a backup.”
Departure day
Everyone gathers on the sidewalk to say goodbye. “We had a great time,” says Gigi. “The day at the beach was amazing…the food was amazing [just] “Okay.” Sandy gives Juno a meaningful look.
“It was hit or miss,” Gigi continues. “So this [tip] “It represents a little bit of that.”
“I feel like Gigi’s comment about the food was definitely fair,” Ayesha said in interviews. “I just hope Juno takes it seriously, because I don’t want to feel embarrassed about what dish I put on the next charter.”
Sandy congratulates the deck team on how the outing went (and she doesn’t know the half of it). She tells Juno that they will discuss food later on the bridge. Sandy describes Aisha’s Greek party as “epic” and says the guests loved it.
And finally, the tip is $25,000, $2,000 per person! This is only because Sandy is Gigi’s friend.
Later, Sandy invites Juno to the bridge. She’s not happy that he served chicken on Chef’s Choice night. The chicken is typical of a superyacht, and its paintwork is faded.
“Otherwise, you won’t lose your mind in the kitchen,” she added, ending her speech on a positive note. Fans of the show remember how many divas we saw collapsing in the kitchen. Jono again mentions that he is a “self-trained” chef and sees criticism as an opportunity for growth.
“I know we’re only on Charter 2,” Sandy interviews. “The food has to be perfect starting from Charter 1. But in the past, I’ve been given second chances… The one thing I won’t wait for is finding another chef, just in case he doesn’t show up.”
As soon as he leaves, we see Sandy texting the yacht’s crew location: “Hey, Norma. Do you have cooks available? I need someone on standby.”
Joe is keeping his options open for Below Deck Mediterranean
Deckhand Joe flirts with both Elena and Bri at the same time. “I’m not going to kick Joe out of bed,” Elena says. They’re not just co-workers, they’re cubicle mates, so Joe has to tread lightly.
While serving dinner, Joe and Elena are clearly flirting with each other, which makes Bree uncomfortable. “Do [they] You really have to do this in front of me? “She did interviews.
In the laundry room, they joke around Joe, saying, “I thought You loved it!”

As things heated up on the dance floor, Ellie decided: “I’ll go with Joe… We’re getting on with the mission. Not tonight, but very soon.”
In the ladies room, Gael thinks Bree is about to explode, and says, “Talk to me.”
Bree admits that she talked to Ellie earlier today and she admitted that she loves Joe. They know they both go to the same man.
“We’re all stuck on a boat,” Gayle says. “It’s six weeks. Sometimes you need a af*ck.”
“We’ll see what happens,” Berry says. But later, Joe jokingly asked if Bree was “sucking Nathan’s dick.” I thought for a minute before answering: “I’ll take yours.”
He is speechless.
