Below Deck Med Season 9 Episode 7 Preview
Mood on under the surface of the mediterranean sea The yacht is an organized mess and the first of its kind in Captain Sandy Yawn’s career. But it’s not the kind of thing a reality TV star would want to experience.
It was a nightmare of supplies on the first voyage. And now, for the first time for the veteran captain, the crew has had to drop anchor in an attempt to get the terrified guests back to the dock in time. Here’s a preview of Below Deck Med season 9 episode 7.
“We Have No Choice” at Below Deck Med
Guests wonder if they will miss their flight.
“Put on the brakes. Stop the anchor. We can’t get our anchor up,” she said.
“I’ve never had to intentionally drop an anchor because the winch didn’t work. We tried to tie a line and pull the anchor manually. It didn’t work. The second option is to drop an anchor and have someone come retrieve it. Dropping an anchor is risky. It’s an expensive piece of equipment. I hope it’s still there when we get back. The weather is here, I have to get these customers back to the dock. We have no choice,” Sandy explained in a confessional interview.
Trishel Cannatella needed to catch a 3 p.m. flight to Paris “to have people over to our house tonight.” Head chef Aisha Scott quickly whipped up an espresso martini “to make it up to her.”
“Oh my god,” the Below Deck Down Under star admits in his confessional. “I have guests who are going to miss their flights. And I bet they’re not in economy. I guess I have to distract them and keep them entertained.”
Meanwhile, the deck crew was tasked with leaving a prominent mark at the spot where the anchor would be dropped.
“We put reflective tape around the buoy that holds our chain,” Sandy explained to the producers.
Then the captain explained the situation to the guests. Trishel’s jaw was visibly clenched the entire time, but the others seemed very kind.
“I feel like this extends our vacation a bit, so I’m okay with it,” one said.
