Aryna Sabalenka details her mental health after Konstantin Koltsov’s death

Aryna Sabalenka Ready to return after a much needed rest.

The tennis star was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon and the 2024 Paris Olympics due to a shoulder injury, but she recently explained how the loss of her ex-boyfriend has worsened her health. Konstantin Koltsov March also contributed to her withdrawal from some summer events.

“I lost my father once, and tennis helped me get through that difficult loss,” Arina explained. As she continued to compete in tournaments in Miami and Stuttgart after her ex-boyfriend’s suicide, her mental state did not improve, and her body began to feel the effects. Eventually, the 26-year-old realized she had been too hard on herself.

“I was struggling a lot mentally because I wouldn’t stop doing it,” Erin continued. “It was very emotional and very stressful, and it took a toll on my mental health at that point.”
