Anna Delvey Isn’t Taking ‘Anything’ From DWTS Experience

Anna Delvey Definitely left a mark on Dancing with the starsEven during her short stint on the show. But the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual as the controversial contestant claimed she won’t take anything from the show after her elimination.

The answer actually fits Anna, who doesn’t generally show much emotion. She and her partner, Ezra Sosa, were eliminated on the September 24 episode alongside Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov.

Did DWTS not leave a good impression on Anna Delvey?

Anna’s selection to be on the show was controversial, and there was certainly backlash to her inclusion in the lineup. This may have contributed to her reaction when co-host Julianne Hough asked her what she would take away from her DWTS experience after her elimination.

“Nothing,” Anna replied.

“That’s it, nothing at all,” Juliana repeated. Anna’s dance partner Ezra shook his head and smiled. Alfonso Ribeiro added, “I had fun, stop it!”

While she may have enjoyed it, it was very difficult for the “fake heiress.” Ezra confirmed this after the premiere when he posted that Anna was crying after all the hate online. He asked for some mercy for his partner. The pair did a quickstep to KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See.”

In the same episode, Anna admitted that she was “very upset” by the comments people made online after the season premiere. Most of the comments focused on her criminal history and ongoing deportation case among other derogatory remarks.

Ezra wasn’t the only one asking for sympathy for Anna. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba urged viewers and fans to give Anna a fair chance. She also admitted that putting herself in this situation was scary for Anna.

Actress Julia Fox also appeared on the episode and stopped by Anna and Ezra’s rehearsal for a quick pep talk. She mentioned that she believed Anna’s tough exterior was a defense mechanism and that it was hard for her to see people being cruel to Anna online.

Anna’s exclusion can be both sad and comforting for her.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
