The story is so confusing that Allie becomes a little tongue-tied while trying to remember it.
In the past, the former The Real Housewives of New York Her daughter spoke about the fact that Jill used a sperm donor to get her pregnant. Allie spent much of her life believing that Jill’s ex-husband, Steven Shapiro, was her biological father. Ally recounted the whole thing during one of her “Put Your Finger Down” TikTok videos, revealing how her entire concept of family history fell apart twice.
Blackmail, sperm donors and huge family secrets
“Put your finger down if you find out, when you’re 21, that your biological father wasn’t your biological father and someone in your family is blackmailing your family into telling you,” Allie began.
According to Ally, she discovered some cruel emails where a family member was stalking Jill. One family member felt like she wasn’t being honest about Allie’s lineage, which was true. This prompted Jill to admit that they had used a sperm donor. From there, Allie was able to meet her biological father along with a handful of her long-lost half-siblings. Or at least I thought.
Allie said that three years after meeting her “biological father,” someone at 23andMe called her and said, “Surprise, I’m your father!” It turns out that the sperm bank mixed up the sperm and the person they thought was the sperm donor turned out to have no connection at all to Ally. For three years, she talked to a random person thinking he was her father.
Although this sounds like a plot from an episode of Morrie, it’s actually Allie’s truth. She had to break the news to the original sperm donor that he wasn’t actually the father. Then she discovered six other half-siblings thanks to her actual biological father. Wild, right?
So, thanks to a sperm bank confusion and years and years of confusion, Allie finally knows the truth about where she came from. You’d be hard-pressed to meet someone who could top this story.
