Ayesha, a native of New Zealand, shared her thoughts on the biggest challenge of season 9, and viewers can only guess how it will end.

Aisha revealed that the “crew dynamic” went downhill during Below Deck Med season 9.

The biggest drama on any yacht to date is two women competing for the same man. When one of them makes advances during a night with the crew, it’s the beginning of the end of the quiet professional atmosphere on board.

Of course, it’s the ongoing saga between Brie Mueller and Elena “Ellie” Dubyash. Their rivalry over Joe Bradley has turned into a professional power trip for Ellie. Meanwhile, Brie struggles with her duties on the ship.

In the Below Deck Med episode airing Monday, July 8, Aisha has to start managing the conflict.

“I explained that Bree and Ellie have this annoying rivalry that revolves around Joe,” she said. “You know, when people are emotionally distracted, you can’t discipline them out of their emotions.”

Aisha spoke to The Daily Dish in May and revealed that she had a hard time managing “girls’ emotions.”

“Dealing with the stuff that was left in the crew mess was really tough,” added the Mead veteran. “That was the biggest challenge I had this season.”

But it wasn’t all bad news. Aisha revealed positive growth in the work of her team, and they finally solved the judgment issue.

“Things are getting better in terms of my management of the business, the guest experience, the supplies, and the actual day-to-day running of the boat. In terms of the crew dynamics, I would say things are still getting worse,” Aisha concluded. “It was more about managing my crew, my relationships, my emotions than actually working as a chef.”
