Netherlands to face England in semi-finals
The scoring in the match, which was hosted by the Berlin Olympic Stadium, started with a goal for the Turks scored by Samet Akaydin in the 35th minute.
Akaydin’s goal came after a perfect header that deceived the Dutch goalkeeper, after he took advantage of a great play by star Arda Guler.
The Dutch came back in the last third of an hour, and Stefan de Vrij equalised in the 70th minute after an excellent jump and a perfect header.
After only 6 minutes, Cody Gakpo managed to score the second goal after exploiting confusion in the Turkish back line, and the goal was counted as an own goal in the name of Turkish defender Mert Moldur.
The Turkish national team intensified its attempts in the last minutes to score an equalizer, but their attempts were unsuccessful, and the match ended with a deserved victory for the Dutch national team.
The Netherlands will play against England in the semi-finals of the European Nations Cup, and the match will be held next Wednesday at Signal Iduna Park.
