According to a report published by Football Insider Chelsea are considering a move for Osimhen in the January transfer window.
This thinking comes to exploit the loan break clause in Osimhen’s contract with Galatasaray.
The report indicated that Osimhen’s selling price will decrease in the winter, because his contract with Napoli will only have 18 months remaining.
Napoli will be keen to get a suitable financial compensation for selling Osimhen, and the management does not want to give him up for free.
The report indicated that Napoli club had included a condition in its loan contract with the Turkish club, which included the Italian club’s right to break the loan and sell the player to any other club in January.
Chelsea are monitoring Osimhen’s situation with great interest and will move in January to sign him if signing a new striker remains a top priority for the team.
Chelsea’s mission will certainly not be easy, especially since Osimhen is attracting the interest of the biggest European clubs.
Osimhen is 25 years old, plays as a centre forward, and his contract with Napoli ends in June 2026.
