Al-Hilal Club management, headed by Fahd bin Nafel, succeeded in contracting with Al-Harbi, during the current summer transfer period, for a period of 5 years, coming from Al-Shabab Club, in a deal borne by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.
Al-Nasr Club confirmed in its statement on its account on the social networking site “X” today, Sunday, that it had reached an agreement with Al-Shabab Club to include the player. The statement came as follows:
We at Al-Nassr Saudi Club express our regret over the outcome of the transfer deal of player Mutab Al-Harbi from Al-Shabab Club, whose negotiations took a long time and witnessed many efforts to reach a final agreement that satisfies both parties.
We have done everything we could to complete the deal, as the necessary contracts were prepared and signed by the management of Al-Nasr Club, and shared with Al-Shabab Club since Saturday, August 31, 2024, and the player signed it and the management of Al-Shabab Club expressed its readiness to sign it this morning, Sunday.
We received firm promises from them that the player would move to Al-Nasr Club, but we were surprised by Al-Shabab Club’s reneging on its commitments and raising the value of the player’s transfer contract to numbers that we consider exaggerated, which led to the failure of the deal.
