viagramof – The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Football Federation revealed, this evening, Sunday, the calendar of football competitions organized under the umbrella of the Saudi Federation, in the next football season 2024-2025.
Introducing competitions for 3 age groups
The Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation, headed by Yasser Al-Meshal, approved the new structure of the Saudi competitions starting from the next sports season during the fourth regular meeting held on June 20, 2023.
The Saudi Federation decided to increase the number of age group competitions from 36 to 64 competitions, including 52 regional championships for age groups for ages under 14, 13, 12 and 11 years.
The Saudi Federation explained, through its account on the social networking site “X,” that competitions were created for the age groups of 18, 16, and 15 years in three grades (excellent, first, and second), while regional championships were created for the age groups of 14, 13, 12, and 11 years.
He pointed out that increasing age group championships comes within the competitions process in the Saudi football transformation strategy, which was launched in 2021, with the aim of enhancing the spread of competitive competitions and ensuring the participation of various age groups in support of the national teams.
