3- Tunisian Moein Chaabani with Esperance won the 2018 and 2019 titles.
4- Congolese Celestin Tambwe led Mazembe to the 1967 and 1968 championships.
5- Argentine Oscar Filoni won the 1989 title with Nigerian ASEC and the 1990 title with Moroccan Raja.
The defending champion will host its Tunisian opponent in the return match at Cairo Stadium next Saturday, after a goalless draw with the opponent in its stronghold of Rades.
The African giant is searching for the second consecutive title and the twelfth in its history, while the Bab Souika club wants to win the fifth championship in its history.
The defending champion was unable to score any goals against his opponent in his stronghold, but came out with a clean sheet.
Al-Ahly needs to win by any result in the return match in order to win the title, while an Esperance draw is sufficient to win the match or a draw with any positive result.
The Al-Ahly and Esperance match will start at eight o’clock in the evening Cairo and Mecca time, nine o’clock Abu Dhabi time.
