viagramof – Swiss coach Marcel Kohler, coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, made an important decision after the team’s delegation arrived in Cairo on Sunday morning, returning from Tunisia.
Al-Ahly took a 24-hour break from training
The Al-Ahly delegation, headed by Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, club president, arrived in Cairo, after playing the first leg of the African Champions League final against Esperance de Tunis.
Kohler decided to give Al-Ahly players a 24-hour rest from group training, with the team resuming training tomorrow, with recovery periods, and Al-Ahly receiving another rest at the end of the week and before the match, according to the program specified by the team’s technical staff before playing the Esperance match.
The Al-Ahly team tied with its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance, 0-0, during the match that was held yesterday evening, Saturday, at the Hamadi Al-Aqrabi Olympic Stadium in Brades, in the first leg of the final round of the African Champions League.
The return match between Al-Ahly and Esperance at Cairo International Stadium is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, at exactly eight in the evening, Cairo and Mecca time, that is, six in the evening, Tunisia time, or nine in the evening, Abu Dhabi time.
