viagramof – Sky Sports reports that Juventus is hopeful that American midfielder Weston McKennie will now accept a potential move to Turkish club Fenerbahce led by Jose Mourinho.
According to Sport Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, the situation is still in the very early stages, especially since the midfielder refused to decide his future until after his experience with the American national team in the Copa America ended.
Portuguese coach Mourinho wants to bring McKennie to Turkey, and Juventus has already made it clear that the player’s time is up with the arrival of new coach Thiago Motta.
Juventus push McKennie to accept move to Fenerbahce
The former Leeds United star will be a free agent in June 2025, so Juventus are desperate to land him for €15m.
McKennie was originally in a swap deal with Aston Villa for Douglas Luiz, but he halted it by refusing to agree to the terms of a contract with the English club, and instead the Bianconeri added Enzo Barrenechea to the deal along with Samuel Illing Jr and the money.
