viagramof – Serbian winger Filip Kostic has admitted that playing with his friend Dusan Tadic under Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho was one of the main reasons he joined Fenerbahce from Juventus.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt star has joined Turkish side Fenerbahce on loan until the end of the season, with the winger not part of Thiago Motta’s plans at Juve.
“I am very excited to be here and I can’t wait to train with my new teammates,” Kostic said in his first interview as a Fenerbahce player.
Kostic: Tadic and Mourinho are the main reasons for his move to Fenerbahce
“Honestly, I was hoping to move to Fenerbahce from day one,” he explained. “The fact that Dusan Tadic and Jose Mourinho are here was one of the main reasons for the move. Tadic is one of my closest friends.”
He continued: “Working with Jose Mourinho will be a great pleasure because he is one of the best coaches in the world. I hope we can win something together. I will do my best.”
Fenerbahce are expected to pay Kostic’s entire salary instead of Juventus during his loan period, which will allow Juve to save a total of €3 million in the 2024/25 season.
