Castro settles on a young quartet to support Al-Nassr next season
According to what was published by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadhiyah”, the Portuguese Luis Castro, coach of Al-Nasr Club, chose the quartet Saad Haqawi, Awad Aman, Rakan Al-Ghamdi and Abdulrahman Al-Enezi, to join the Yellows’ roster during the next season.
Saad Haqawi plays as a striker, while Awad Aman plays in defence, and the duo Abdulrahman Al-Enezi and Rakan Al-Ghamdi play in midfield.
The Saudi Football Federation allowed the registration of only 5 players from the youth list with the first team, provided that they participate in both categories during the same season.
The newspaper confirmed that the Portuguese Luis Castro, coach of Al-Nasr Club, has not yet determined the name of the fifth player from Al-Shabab, but it is likely that he will be a player born in Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the list of each team in the next season 2024-2025 will include 15 local players and 10 foreigners, including two under-21 players, in addition to 5 players from the youth category.
