The regulations of the Confederation of African Football stipulate that there are 20 players on the list of each team in the African Super Cup, including Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
According to what was published by Al-Watan newspaper, the Portuguese Jose Gomez will exclude the quartet of Mahmoud El-Shenawy, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wansh, who is “injured,” Mohamed El-Sayed, and Ahmed Mahmoud from Zamalek’s list to play in the Al-Ahly match tomorrow.
The newspaper confirmed that Portuguese Jose Gomez, coach of Zamalek, is choosing between the duo Nasser Mansi and Hossam Ashraf, in order to exclude one of them from the team’s roster to face Al-Ahly in the African Super Cup final.
The Zamalek club delegation arrived last Tuesday in Riyadh in order to meet Al-Ahly, which arrived on Wednesday, to compete in the African Super Cup, at the Kingdom Arena.
Zamalek Club is competing in the African Super Final as the Confederation Champion, while Al-Ahly Club is competing in the African Champions League.
