Savic replaces Malcom in Al Hilal squad against Al Ahli
Brazilian Malcom Felipe will be absent from Al Hilal’s match against Al Ahli today, due to his failure to recover from the knee injury he sustained over the past months.
According to what was published by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadhiyah”, the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, coach of Al-Hilal Club, will rely on the Serbian Sergej Savic to compensate for the absence of the Brazilian Malcom from the Blue squad against Al-Ahly today.
Al-Hilal Club will miss 5 players in today’s match against Al-Ahly, namely the Brazilians Neymar and Malcom due to injury, Ali Al-Bulaihi and Khalidou Koulibaly due to suspension, and Mohammed Al-Buraik due to the death of his mother.
On the other hand, German Matthias Jaissle, Al-Ahli coach, intends to rely on one of the duo Fahad Al-Rashidi and Abdul Karim Al-Darsi to lead the team’s attack alongside Brazilian Roberto Firmino, against Al-Hilal today, instead of Firas Al-Brikan, who is suffering from a muscle tear.
The winner of the Al-Hilal and Al-Ahly match will face the winner of the Al-Nassr and Al-Taawoun match in the Saudi Super Cup final on August 17.
