The Milan derby at the San Siro started the scoring with Christian Pulisic for Milan, with Dimarco equalising for Inter, before Matteo Gabbia scored the winner before the end of the match.

Fonseca said in statements reported by: Football Italia website“We won the derby, Milan haven’t won for a while, and of course it was important for us.”

He continued: “I think the players showed a lot of courage and deserved to win. I don’t remember seeing a team cause this many problems for Inter Milan in a long time.”

Milan coach added: “Doubts about my future with the team? I don’t read or listen to these things.”

He continued: “The important thing for me is to continue to see the players believe in our ideas. We know that we have to improve, but today’s victory was a victory for the team.”

Milan are seventh in the Italian League table with 8 points, and will play the next round against Lecce at the San Siro stadium next Friday.
