Al-Ittihad targets signing Alphonso Areola
According to what was published by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Youm”, the management of Al-Ittihad Club is seeking to include Alphonso Areola, the goalkeeper of West Ham United, after abandoning the contracting of the Brazilian duo Ederson, the goalkeeper of Manchester City, and the Slovenian Jan Oblak, the goalkeeper of Atletico Madrid.
Manchester City officials insisted on receiving 50 million euros in order to sell Brazilian Ederson to the Saudi Federation, while Atletico Madrid refuses to give up the services of its Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Alphonso Areola played 33 matches with West Ham United last season and kept a clean sheet in only 4 matches.
Al-Ittihad Saudi Club is targeting to sign a foreign goalkeeper this summer, after Marcelo Grohe left for immortality and Abdullah Al-Mayouf is close to leaving the team, after having two offers from Al-Shabab and Neom.
