viagramof – Officials of the Saudi Al-Ahly club have decided to travel to Dubai to face Al-Wasl of the Emirates next Monday in the second round of the AFC Champions League for the elite, after the match against Al-Qadisiyah in Dammam next Friday in the fifth round of the league championship.
Al-Ahly considers traveling directly to Dubai after the Al-Qadisiyah match
According to what was published by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadhiyah”, the German Matthias Jaissle, the coach of Al-Ahli Club, prefers to travel to the Eastern Region to Dubai directly after the Al-Qadisiyah match, in order to prepare for the match against Al-Wasl of the Emirates on Monday due to the lack of time, the pressure of the matches, and his desire to avoid tiring the players.
The newspaper explained that the Al-Ahly club management is working to secure a training ground in the Emirati city, in order to travel directly after the Al-Qadisiyah match. In the event that it is unable to do so, the team will remain in Dammam, to perform one training session before leaving for Dubai, in light of the Asian Federation system allowing the visiting team to perform a training session on the host’s ground before the two sides face each other.
Al-Ahly club defeated Persepolis of Iran by one goal in Jeddah in the first round of the AFC Champions League.
