He surpassed Real Madrid legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, each of whom scored 10 goals in the Champions League knockout rounds.
The Moroccan star also outperformed Colombian star Radamel Falcao, who scored 10 goals in the knockout stages of one edition of the European League with Atletico Madrid.
The match witnessed a new record for Al-Kaabi, as he and his compatriot and teammate Youssef El-Arabi became the first players from one Arab country to win a European title with the same team.
