Chelsea had ended their relationship with the veteran Argentine coach last May after the team’s disappointing season in the English Premier League, as the Blues finished the competition in sixth place with 63 points.

According to a report published by Daily Mail British newspaper Pochettino is a potential candidate to coach the US national team in the summer.

The US national team continues to search for a new coach to succeed former coach Gregg Berhalter, who was fired following the team’s exit from the group stage of the Copa America tournament hosted by the United States.

English reports indicated that the job of coaching the US national team was offered to former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp, but he refused to accept the offer because he plans to rest for at least a year.

The US national team is preparing for the World Cup, which will be hosted by America in partnership with Canada and Mexico in 2026.

Pochettino has had several distinguished experiences in his coaching career with Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

Pochettino has won three titles: the French League, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup with Paris Saint-Germain.
