Alvarez said in statements reported by: Spanish newspaper AS“Leaving Manchester City? I just said I would analyse what happened and what’s coming in the future.”

He continued: “I said that I had a great time at the club, that I was very happy and very comfortable, there were simply no words to describe what I saw.”

He continued, saying: “Before signing for Atletico Madrid, I spoke with Guardiola and thanked him for what he had given me over the past two years, for his trust, for the treatment he gave me, for everything I had learned, and for everything I had experienced.”

He continued: “Guardiola thanked me too, because they were two great years, I never caused any problems, and I helped the team achieve some great things.”
