Roberto Mancini said, in statements published by Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper regarding his dismissal from coaching the Saudi national team: “I do not know at this moment.”
Italian Roberto Mancini added: “It is not up to me to continue coaching the Saudi national team.”
The Italian, Roberto Mancini, took over as coach of the Saudi national team in August 2023, with a contract until June 30, 2027, with an estimated salary of 18 to 25 million euros annually, according to press reports.
The Saudi national team occupies third place in the third group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, with 5 points from one victory, two draws and a loss, behind the Australian team on goal difference, the runner-up, and the Japanese team that leads with 10 points.
Press reports recently stated that Al-Hussein Amouta, the Emirati coach of Al-Jazira, is among the candidates to succeed Roberto Mancini as coach of the Saudi national team during the coming period.
