Mbappe managed to score the second goal from a penalty kick, and the goal came in the 75th minute of the match that was held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Mbappe became the fourth Real Madrid player to open his La Liga account in the 21st century with two goals in a single match.
He was preceded in this achievement by the Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario, who opened his scoring account with Real Madrid in La Liga with two goals in one match against Alaves on October 6, 2002.
Mexican star Chicharito was able to open his goal record in La Liga with two goals in one match as well, and that came in the match against Deportivo La Coruna on September 20, 2014.
Dani Ceballos managed to do the same when he scored two goals against Alaves on September 23, 2017.
Only the legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who opened his La Liga scoring account for Real Madrid with a hat-trick (3 goals), surpasses this elite group of stars. The match was against Levante on September 10, 2006.
