FilGoal website revealed that Al-Ahly requested foreign referees for 4 matches, including the summit match against Zamalek, which was not played despite bringing in referees.

Al-Ahly asked the Egyptian Clubs Association and the Football Association to appoint foreign referees for the matches against Pyramids and Al-Masry.

Al-Ahly has already paid the costs of the referees for the Zamalek match and the upcoming Pyramids match, and will pay the remaining costs for the other two matches.

The Red Devils will meet Al-Samawi in the first leg on July 12, and then the second leg on the 22nd of the same month.

Pyramids FC, the first-placed team, has 65 points after 26 matches in the league, 14 points ahead of Al-Ahly, the title holder, who has 51 points from 21 matches.
